We tried to contact the hotel regarding the availability of a baby bed several times, contacted Unitravel once and included the request in the reservation but got no answer. Other than that the hotel was ok. Nothing special but ok for the price.

hotel tres mediocre nous avons passe trois nuits avec un climatisateur de l'ante christ qui ne fonctionnait pas c'était toujours le collegue (absent) du gardien qui devait s'en occuper.(impossible de rafraichir la chambre le soir !)la salle de bains est comme le climatisateur. un jour pas d'eau chaude . un simple filet à la douche impossible de se rincer les cheveux convenablement.je ne recommanderai pas . tres deçue. ne correspond pas à la description donnée et finalement tres cher ne merite pas un deux etoiles (peintures tres degradées.porte salle de bain à moitié arrachée.moquette ds les communs inommable.tete de lit souillée...

-pas de chauffage pendant 3 jours avant qu'ils se déplacent pour nous montrer la mise en route d'un climatiseur réversible via un boitier électrique fermé
-sèche cheveux inopérant car coupé au milieu
-toilettes mal fixés
-pas de fonctionnement des télévisions dans toutes les chambres
-radiateurs sales et piqués par la rouille (voir photo jointe)
-petit déjeuner composé d'un petit pain, d'un café et d'un verre de jus de fruit par personne (ridicule pour un hotel normal pour 100 euros par nuit)
- volets non verrouilable à l'extérieur et tapent la journée avec le vent
-musique à fond le dernier soir du 03 mars au 04 mars du restaurant de l'hotel de 21h30 à 00H15 puis de 01 H30 à 02h15 et encore parce que j'ai menacé d'appeler la police
cette soirée était d'ailleurs gardée par une personne étrangère à l'hotel (faute inexcusable car la personne ne connaissait pas les sécurités de l'hotel)
Bien sur, j'ai fait part à l'hotel de toutes ces remarques et j'espère qu'ils me rembourseront au moins une nuit (100 euros) en rapport à tous les manquements essentiels d'un hotel digne de ce nom

We thought this hotel offered excellent value for the price. It was easy to find and in a good location. It was clean and the baths were clean. It was quiet.

The hotel is advertised with a shower and bathroom down the hall, but there is only a bathroom with a shower wand right next to the toilet! The day clerk is cranky and wants " un otra vive"

The hotel was in a good location, very near vaporetto and near the touristic places. The first impression was not good. There was a big stain on the head of the bed, no tv, no air conditioning. However when I asked at least for a fan, as the one they had didn't work the personnel changed me the room for one with air conditioning.

El hotel esta bien ubicado, junto a un canal que pasan gondolas de vez en cuando, la vision es bonita, y esta en una zona muy muy tranquila.
Las unicas cosas que no nos gusto, es que en nuestra habitación el aire acondicionado no funcionava, y nos morimos de calor por las noches y los ratos que estabamos en la habitación y en esta epoca es necesario que funcione debido a que las temperaturas son muy elevadas.
Y luego el desayuno era siempre lo mismo, no habia ningun tipo de variedad, estaria bien que añadieran algun otro alimento o variedad en el desayuno para que no sea tan igual.

Hotel rooms are small but clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. Away from the touristy part of the city, you get to experience the 'real' Venice. Great restaurant below with typical venetian food. Great stay for people on a budget.

Hotel muy bien situado a 15 minutos caminando de Plaza Roma y de la estación de tren,entre los puentes de Rialto y de la Academia, zona agradable y tranquila, limpieza excelente, desayuno: zumo, café, pan, tostadas, bollos, mermelada etc.
Es el hotel que recomendaría a un amigo

If you are looking for optimal situated place to stay and are able to neglect comfort and politeness, this is a very good suggestion to stay.
But it is absolutly not okay to have a closed door policy between 01:00 - 05:00am!!!

In the reservation i ask for a baby cot because i travel with a baby with 2 years old.
The baby have to sleep in the floor because they dont have a baby cot, if i know this before i cancel the reservation.

It was my first overnight in Venice, so I can't really compare the Iris Hotel with others in the city, while it wouldn't be correct to compare it to hotels in other destination I've been to.
