 How to Arrive in Venice
If you booked your hotel in Venice and you need information on how to reach Venice historical centre or other areas here are indications on the many ways to get to the city whether you decide to arrive by plane, by bus, by car or by train.
By plane:

Venice has two international airports: Marco Polo Venice and San Giuseppe Venice Treviso airports.
Marco Polo, Venice Airport

Marco Polo Airport is located in Tessera, 12Km away from the city. Connections with Venice city centre are guaranteed by an efficient transport service via road and via sea. From Tessera, Venice is easily reachable thanks to a public transport service running all day long or private taxis that you will find outside the terminals, close to the dock. A.C.T.V. bus service connects Tessera to the historical centre, as well as to Mestre, Padua and the Adriatic Coast. Besides booking Venice hotels you can reserve accommodation in the surrounding cities and destinations to fully experience the beauty of the Veneto region.
San Giuseppe, Venice Treviso Airport

Venice Treviso Airport, recently completely rebuilt, provides connections with the historical centre of Venice through an A.C.T.V.O. line, enabling you to reach your Venice Hotel in the easiest and fastest way. Buses are scheduled in coincidence with flights. Renting a car, you can take the A27 motorway from Treviso direction Venice.
By car:

Venice provides connections with many other important Italian cities. The A4 motorway (Milan-Venice) is an arterial road to reach the North East of France, the A27 (direction Belluno) provides a link with the North of Italy and the A13 is a main junction to reach central and southern Italy. Venice offers numerous car parks where you can leave your car even for long periods, at a reasonable charge.

By train:

You can easily reach Venice by train from many European and Italian cities. Venice has two railway stations: Santa Lucia, right in the city centre, and Mestre, 5 minutes from the historical centre.
